Dear Diary,
This is shaping up to be the best winter ever!
On Christmas Day, my beautiful, intelligent and benevolent Mistress (and I’m not just saying that because She reads my diary! :) Hi Mistress!), in Her infinite generosity, gifted me a pair of shoes that She no longer wanted. I literally cried with joy.
Every slave in the neighborhood was soooo jealous watching me strut around in those low cut boots whenever I took out the trash or shoveled the driveway. And they were so warm and comfy! I used to dread working outdoors during winter months, but as long I keep my feet dry and warm, the snow really isn’t so bad.
And I’ve gotten so much use out of them! Like last week when She took me with Her on that skiing trip. It’s so much easier to serve when you aren’t focused on your own discomfort (yes, Mistress, I know I shouldn’t let my own discomfort get in the way of carrying out my duties, but what do you expect? I’m just a dumb lazy cauc lolz!)
I remember looking up at Mistress as I was putting chains on the tires and just smiling. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to be Her slave. It was just this great feeling that I can’t describe. I remember reading that Black psychologists have a name for it, but I know my simple cauc brain can’t really understand all that stuff.
Now that I have an outsider’s perspective, it really is kind of funny to see all those slaves walking around barefoot in the snow, freezing their little pink toes off. What better way to pay our reparation debt than suffering for the entertainment of our superiors?
It’s just too bad all the other caucs don’t have a Mistress as cool as mine! Sucks to be them I guess haha!
-Excerpt from a cauc’s diary. Yes, that was once a thing. The slave’s ability to read and write points to her being a first generation slave, and her absolute devotion to her owner (as well as her lack of sympathy for her fellow slaves) goes to show how effective pre-Revolution propaganda was at preparing the free white population to accept their eventual fates as naked servants.
Winter is ending (fortunately ^ ^)
